Non-jewish Foundation Contributes $10,000 Toward U.J.A. Campaign in Milwaukee

A gift of $10,000 by the Schlitz Foundation to the United Jewish Appeal was announced here by Irving G. Rhodes, chairman of the Milwaukee campaign.

This sum is the greatest contribution made thus far by non-Jews in this city who are organizing a Christian group to assist Milwaukee Jewry achieve its 1946 quota of $1,000,000. In presenting the check, Erwin C. Uihein, president of the foundation and the Schlitz Brewing Company, said “yours is a worthy cause and we wish you well in your endeavors.”
