Obesity costs Israel more than $1.25 billion a year, according to a new study. The cost, which equals 1.2 percent of the country’s gross domestic product, was released on the eve of the annual conference of Israel’s National Institute for Health Policy Research on Wednesday, the Jerusalem Post reported.
