Almost a third of the 31 victims of the railway accident which occurred near the Roumanian station of Slatina when the Simplon Express, famous international train, and a local express met in a head-on collision yesterday, are Jews.
Two American Jews, Arnold Ehrlich of Chicago, 47, and Alex Herschler of Rochester, were among the victims.
