The Rabbinical Council of America, representing some 900 Orthodox rabbis in the United States and Canada, today appealed to the U.S. Government to cancel its economic aid to the Arab countries, in view of the recent resolution adopted by the members of the Arab League, declaring their determination to annihilate Israel.

The appeal, which was issued by Rabbi Israel Miller, president of the Rabbinical Council, declared: “Our Government and our people must face up to the deep moral issue inherent in the fact that our purpose to establish peace (in the Middle East) is being contravened by the same countries to whom we are extending aid, and that these countries are using the very aid which the Government of the United States is extending to them for the preparation of a destructive war against Israel.”
