Oscar Straus, formerly American Ambassador to Turkey, and well-known for the aid which he rendered the American missions in Turkey, was given an official reception at Nazareth by the representatives of the American missions in Palestine. In his address to the missionaries, Mr. Straus laid stress on the need for upbuilding Palestine. He pointed out that although he was not a Zionist he considered it the duty of all Christian nations to assist the Jewish people in upbuilding their national home in Palestine. Mr. Straus vehemently admonished those nations which put obstacles in the way of this upbuilding.
