The Secretary General of the League of Nations received a note today from the British Government, dated December 15, in connection with the sums imposed on Palestine, Transjordiania and Mesopotamia, as their payment of the public debts of the former Ottoman Empire.

The British Government, in the note, informs the League of Nations that Palestine, Transjordania and Mesopotamia are dissatisfied with the sums imposed on them and announces the intention of bringing an appeal against this allocation before an arbiter to be appointed by the League’s council.

Rabbi Wolf Raman, who came to American recently to raise funds for institutions in Palestine, died in Des Moines, Iowa, from injuries sustained when he was struck by an automobile.
