Palestine Guards Against Arab Disorders in General Strike

All precautions against possible disorders during the general strike of 900,000 Arabs, scheduled for Saturday as a protest against alleged Jewish arming, have been taken by the authorities the Vaad Leumi was assured today.

Assurances were given by Government officials to Isaac Ben Zvi, who sought them on behalf of the Jewish national council.

Meanwhile, a scheduled showing of the Keren Hayesod (Jewish colonization agency) film “The Promised Land” was prohibited by the authorities today until a calmer atmosphere prevails.

An organization of Arab women presented a memorandum to the Government in which it demands that Jews be made to deliver to the Government within ten days 10,000 guns, 50,000 revolvers and a million bullets.
