The sum of pound 3,579,000 in Palestine currency and coinage is in circulation here, it is reported. A quarter of a million pounds’ worth of paper money and coins were added during the quarter ending December, 1933, owing to the greater demand for legal tender.
It is expected that the Palestine government will reap a net profit of pound 100,000 this year from its currency operations.
