The Vaad Leumi or the Jewish Council will be recognized by the Palestine Government, as official representative of the Jewish population, according to a semi-official report. The rights of the various Jewish communities will also be recognized, according to this report, although it is not known yet whether the recognition will extend to the right of the Jewish communities to tax their constituencies.
