The second biannual meeting of the Jewish Labor Federation (Histadruth Hapoalim Haklolith) was opened in Tel-Aviv Friday, representatives of all Jewish labor parties and groups participating.
The convention was welcomed, among others, by Professor Albart Einstein, who declared the future of Palestine and of the Jewish race was in the hands of Jewish working masses. Dr. Judah L. Magness, of New York, also delivered greetings.
The convention is conducted by a Praesidium of three, J. Ben Zevi and David Ben Gurion, both of whom are well-known in America, representing the Achduth Havodah (Labor Union), and Joseph Sprinzak, the Hapoel Hazoir. The allignment of the two principal contestants for leadership in the labor forces is thus fixed for the present at least, and a struggle between the two parties is expected all along the line.
