A Palestine banana company to promote the growing of bananas on a large scale for export was formed here on the initiative of Professor Otto Warburg.

The first plantation on an area of 100 dunams will be started in the vicinity of Migda. The first crop is expected in 1929. Professor Warburg is confident of the successful development of a Palestine banana industry.
