The British Government has granted permission to Emir Abdullah, the ruler of TransJordania, to recruit an army of not less than 8,000 men in his country, for the purpose of sending reinforcements to the Hedjaz Army in its fight against the Wahabis. Recruiting has commenced, according to the local Arab paper, "Alef Da."
