Palestine Visa Not Asked for Trotsky

The Palestine authorities officially denied today a rumor reported in some newspapers abroad that the government was in receipt of an application for a visa for Leon Trotsky.

This rumor has no foundation in fact, the authorities stated. The London “Zeit” had published a report stating that some of Trotsky’s friends had applied to the Palestine government for permission for Trotsky to enter. Reports received here state that the government of Czechoslovakia has granted a visa to Trotsky and that a small villa had been acquired for him in that country.
