Palestinian sources confirmed that the Hamas militant who tops Israel’s most- wanted list escaped the Gaza Strip jail where he had been held for the past seven months. According to Israel Radio, a Hamas Web site claimed that Mohammed Deif was assisted in his escape by Mohammed Dahlan, the head of Palestinian security in Gaza.
