Paris Opera Unveils Ceiling Painted by Chagall in the Theater

The Paris Opera last night unveiled a 600-square-foot painting on the ceiling of the theater executed by Marc Chagall, world-famous French-Jewish artist. The massive painting, a circular floral theme, was done by Mr. Chagall over a two-year period. Among the guests attending the unveiling of the work in addition to the artist was Andre Malraux, French Minister of Cultural Affairs.
