With preliminary plans for the Palestine land redemption effort of the Jewish National Fund in Zone No. 3 reported taking shape throughout the seaboard states, officials of the Seaboard Zionist Region pointed today toward the thirteenth annual conference of Seaboard Zionists.
The conference will take place at Newport News, Va., May 12 and 13. The meeting will be dedicated to this specific effort of the Jewish National Fund. The communities will be asked to accept quotas of approximately $25,000,000 for the Palestine land redemption drive.
Rabbi Irving Miller of Far Rock-away, L. I., and Mendel N, Fisher of New York City, national campaign director of the Jewish National Fund, will deliver the principal addresses on behalf of the fund at the conference.
Many seaboard communities have been visited during the last few weeks by Simon J. Levin of this city, national field representative, and he reported today that they have readily pledged their cooperation.
