The formation of local committees throughout Brazil to bring pressure on Arab and Israeli leaders to settle differences by negotiation was urged today in Brazil’s Parliament by Representative Cunha Bueno.

Recalling that a Brazilian, the late Oswaldo Aranha, had been president of the United Nations General Assembly which approved recommendations for an independent Jewish State, Dr. Cunha Bueno made a strong appeal for the Parliament to be aware of Brazil’s responsibility toward peace in the Middle East.
