Parliamentary Elections Create New Situation

The demand that Zionists in the Republic of Poland separate their Zionist activities from local politics was voiced at the Zionist conference of Eastern Galicia which concluded its three day sessions here.

This demand was formulated by the oppositional group led by Deputy Frostig. The group also demanded a union of all Zionist organizations in Poland including those from Galicia and Congress Poland be brought about. This was voted down.

A new Executive was elected, headed by Dr. Leon Reich as president, Mr. Schmarak and Deputies Schreiber and Roz## vice-presidents.

A drive for $42,000 for the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies in Herburg. Pa. will be lanched at a meeting to be held in the Jewish Community center here on Sunday evening.

Albert H. Lieberman of Philladelphia, re##tional chairman of the United Jewish Cam## will be one of the principal speakers. The campaign will be continued for ten days.Forty-two local and foreign Jewish philanthropic organizations will share in the distribution of the funds.

The local Jewish federation was organized ## year when $40,000 was raised.
