Plans for the establishment of a parochial school were made at a special meeting of orthodox rabbis and representatives of the orthodox Jewish community of this city.
Dr. Abraham Schechter, rabbi of Sons of Jacob Congregation, was elected chairman of the school committee and Jacob Gellman was chosen secretary. Rabbis David Bachrath, Osher Werner and Joshua Werner were appointed honorary chairmen.
