Pelley Trial Opens in South Tomorrow

Trial of William Dudley Pelley, Silver Shirt founder, and three of his associates for alleged violation of the state securities law is set for Wednesday in Buncombe County superior court.

Defendants with Pelley are Robert Summerville, Don D. Kellogg, and H. M. Hardwicke. Pelley, Summerville and Kellogg are free under bond. Hardwick has not been arrested, but Solicitor Zeb V. Nettles was informed that he would surrender here before the trial.

Robert H. McNeill, Washington attorney, is expected to be counsel for Pelley.

Abraham Schreiner was the Austrian discoverer of petroleum that he found and distilled on his land in 1853.
