Pennsylvania State Senate Rejects Fair Housing Bill Voted by House

The Pennsylvania State Senate Labor and Industry Committee by a vote of nine to five has killed a Fair Housing Bill passed by the House. Nathan L. Edelstein, chairman of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, described the defeat of the bill as a blow to the welfare of the state. Mr. Edelstein said the Philadelphia body would continue to press for fair housing legislation.
