Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman was today presented with the F. Gordon Borowsky Community Award of the Federation of Jewish Agencies for his “personal integrity and high ethical standards” as “an eloquent spokesman for the Jewish State.” Presentation of the award, a silver kiddush cup, was made by Edwin Wolf 2nd, president of the Federation.
The Community Award which is given for humanitarianism, is presented as a memorial to Mr. Borowsky who served as campaign general chairman of the Allied Jewish Appeal in 1959 and 1960. He was a vice-president of the Federation at the time of his death last year.
