Philadelphia’s Allied Jewish Appeal Raises $7,279,135 in 1960 Drive

The 1960 Allied Jewish Appeal raised $7,279,135 topping the results of the 1959 drive by more than $50,000, F. Gordon Borowsky, campaign general chairman, announced at the final luncheon of the drive yesterday.

Mr, Borowsky was presented by Edwin Wolf 2nd, president of the Philadelphia Federation of Jewish Agencies, with a Family Bible, Bernard Weinberg, veteran AJA leader, was announced by Mr, Wolf as general chairman for the 1961 campaign. Some 100,000 persons contributed to the 1960 Appeal.
