The Rev. Dr. David Philipson, of the Rockdale Avenue Temple, Cincinnati, Ohio, will deliver the commencement address at the ninth annual commencement exercises of the Jewish Institute of Religion, to be held May 27 in its auditorium.
Dr. Philipson, dean of the American reform rabbinate, is regarded as the outstanding authority on the history of the Jewish reform movement. He has served the Rockdale Avenue congregation since 1888, and, previously, was the rabbi of Har Sinai Congregation in Baltimore.
