Photographs of Jewish life in New York’s Lower East Side during the 1930s form part of a new exhibit of artist Ben Shahn’s work at the Phillips Museum in Washington. The exhibit, which includes photographs produced from a recently discovered roll of film, runs through August 27.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
