The remains of Dr. Leo Pinsker, one of the founders of the Zionist movement and author of the important work, “Auto-Emancipation,” have been smuggled out of Odessa to Palestine and will be given an impressive funeral in the Holy Land, it became known today.
Dr. Pinsker, who died in Odessa on December 2, 1891, was buried in an Odessa Jewish cemetery. He was seventy years old.
On the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of his birth, Dr. Joseph Klausner, published in Jerusalem a jubilee book called “The Book of Pinsker.”
