A colonization project for the acquisition of a contract of 4, 000 dunams of land in Palestine for which $100, 000 will be raised in the next two years was launched today at the Eastern Regional Conference of the Pioneer Women’s Organization, at the Hotel McAlpin, where 150 delegates representing 78 clubs on the Atlantic Seaboard met to consider problems connected with the organization’s immediate and post-war tasks. Resolutions were adopted supporting the establishment of free ports or rescue camps as a temporary haven for refugees and demanding abrogation of the White Paper and the establishment of a Jewish commonwealth in Palestine.
