Pittsburgh Vaad Ha’kashruth Reorganizes, Elects New Officers

The “Vaad Ha’Kashruth” of this city, which supervises the slaughtering of animals for kosher meat purposes, has re-organized itself and is now composed of the Rabbinical Assembly of Pittsburgh and eleven laymen. Each congregation will be represented by a committee of three members.

At its meeting last Wednesday, June 25th, the “Vaad Ha’Kashruth” elected the following officers and directors: Chairman, Jacob Goldblum; vice-chairman, Israel Safyan; recording secretary, Morris Kohen; corresponding secretary, Attorney Jacob D. Golding; treasurer, Jacob Gold; directors, Messrs. Max Azen, Zarach Barrach, Max Engelberg, Abe Pechersky. Samuel Schoenberger and M. B. Weiss.
