Prolongation is contemplated until September 1 of the residence of Jewish refugees from Russia and the Ukraine holding serial numbers entitling them to American visas. All others are doomed to be expelled April 15, it is learned.
The authorities are already proceeding with the registration of “aliens”, the term being applied also to Jews who have lived here for decades.
