Planes Bombing Haifa Identified As French

The enemy planes which attacked Haifa this week from the air causing great damage were established to be French, it was reported here today.

While the Haifa air raid lasted over two hours, a two hour alarm was sounded in Tel Aviv also. Jerusalem had an air raid alarm lasting for fifteen minutes.

Following the bombardment of Haifa, a delegation representing the Jewish Soldiers Welfare Committee visited the Jewish training camps in Haifa and voiced the pride of the Yishub in the men. The delegation headed by Mrs. Edwin Samuel and Dr. Soloveitchik presented the camps with wireless sets, as gifts of the committee. The steadfastness of the Jewish trainees was emphasized to the delegation by the British officers in command of the camps.
