The Palestine Shipping Company, which formerly had its headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, but is now operating from here, announced today that the company has a capital of $300,000 already subscribed.
The first 10,000-ton liner will be named Tel Aviv. It will carry a complete Jewish crew from captain to cabin-boy and also will have a training school for Jewish sailors, officials announced.
