A new wave of violent antisemitic propaganda is sweeping the former German provinces of Posen and Pomerania. Leaflets are being openly distributed in the streets, calling for pogroms against the Jews. The boycott movement against Jews coming from Congress Poland is particularly strong, and the Central Federation of Christian Merchants in Pomerania and Posen has gone so far as to approach the authorities in Warsaw officially to ask them to prohibit Jewish pedlars from Congress Poland going to these provinces to do business. There is no likelihood of the Government acceding to the demand, because under the Constitution all citizens have the right of freedom of movement in all parts of the Republic.
Mass meetings are being held in all parts of Posen and Pomerania at which speakers call upon the population to boycott Jewish artisans, shopkeepers, pedlars, lawyers, doctors, etc. “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion”, “The Jews, the Enemies of Poland”, “The War Against Shechita”, and similar pamphlets are being distributed in large quanitities.
