Acting under instructions from Warsaw, the Polish consulate today issued passports to Polish Jews deprived of their adopted German citizenship by the Nazis. Rescinding of Reich citizenship had left these Jews stateless.
The former Polish citizens were restored their citizenship on condition that if they had not already served a term in the army they would return to Poland and serve the required period.
