Foreign Minister Josef Beck, declaring the Jewish question was no longer a local but an international problem, stressed today the necessity of a League of Nations solution of the Palestine situation.

“One concrete problem awaits solution by the League, namely the question of Palestine,” Col. Beck told the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee. “This question is an important factor for a solution of the general problem of Jewish emigration.”

He asserted that for various reasons independent of conditions in a number of countries “This problem has lost purely local significance and has become a European problem.” He reminded the commission that Poland had raised the emigration and raw materials questions at Geneva.
