With the devaluation of the Danzig gulden, many Jewish firms in Poland suffered great losses since they dealt with Danzig firms on the basis of Danzig currency. The credits given to these firms, if repaid now in inflated Danzig money, will cause losses to the creditors in Poland to the extent of at least thirty per cent.
