An outbreak of anti-Semitic incidents here and in nearby Weston was under investigation today by town and state police and United States postal authorities.

During the past few weeks, anti-Semitic literature has been mailed to residents and swastikas and the word “Jew” have been painted on mail boxes. Several residents reported receiving warnings to “get back to your New York ghetto or immigrate to Israel.” At least two stores have received defamatory literature. Anti-Jewish slogans were also found scrawled near the Westport railroad station and on its parking lot.
