A plan for urgent aid to small industry and trade, which now finds itself in a precarious situation, has been worked out by the Polish ministry of industry, following a series of consultations with leading business men and government officials. The plan will be submitted to the next meeting of the cabinet, which will deal with economic matters.
The proposed plan includes provisions for considerable credits on the part of the state banks and also various tax aids. The latter, at least until trade conditions improve, will overcome the present economic crisis, which is particularly burdensome to the Jews, who constitute a large proportion of the small business men and those engaged in small industry.
