SYNAGOGUES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY WERE FILLED TO OVER FLOWING YESTERDAY AS THE 3,500,000 JEWS OF POLAND JOINED IN A SOLEMN FAST IN PROTEST AGAINST ANTI-SEMITIC PERSECUTION. “TEHILIM” PRAYERS WERE RECITED. PENSIONS AND RESTAURANTS OWNED BY ORTHODOX JEWS PROVIDED NO MEALS DURING THE DAY. JEWS IN MANY OTHER COUNTRIES ALSO HELD SPECIAL SERVICES.
