Polish Jews in New York Commemorate Heroes of Warsaw Ghetto Revolt

Ceremonies commemorating the 18th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising were held here tonight by the Club of Polish Jews. The ceremonies included addresses by Rabbi Izaak Lewin, Yeshiva University professor; Joseph B. Schechtman, author and lecturer; and Jonas Purkow, author and a member of the resistance movement in the Warsaw Ghetto. The meeting was opened by Maximilian Friede, president of The Club of Polish Jews, a former judge in Warsaw.
