The Polish Ministry of Education plans to organize soon a course for teachers of Yiddish and Jewish history, it was reported here today from Warsaw.
The plan was the outcome of a meeting between Ferdinand Herok, Deputy Education Minister, and a delegation of the Jewish Cultural and Social Association, headed by Dr. David Stard. A number of problems of Jewish education and Jewish cultural activities in Poland were discussed during the meeting.
The Education Ministry also undertook to provide further help for Jewish summer camps where, in addition to vacation programs, Jewish education also is provided. The Ministry also said it would include a new building for a Jewish school in Wroclaw in a national program of 1, 000 new school buildings now under way.
