A society which has proclaimed its desire to have the Polish government take over the Palestine mandate from Great Britain has been organized here and has submitted a request for registration as an official body, according to an announcement published in the Yiddish daily, Moment, today.
The society claims that Poland is best fitted to administer the mandate because it is not affected by the considerations of policy which must be faced by the British government. The Polish government, declares the newspaper, is unable to obtain colonial acquisitions, nevertheless there is no reason why it should not be given the mandate.
The society intends establishing branches in other nations abroad in order to propagate the idea. Membership will be limited to Jews and non-Jewish sympathizers. Requests for permission to enroll the society as an official body have been signed by fifteen persons, including officers of the Brith Hachail and Brith Trumpeldor, two Zionist Revisionist groups.
