the poultry industry and the consumer. These include misrepresentation, excessive service charges and other trade practices which have taken from the industry and consumer millions of dollars. Most of the live poultry handled by the New York live poultry industry is sold to the Jewish trade.

Since the code went into effect the government, cooperating with code supporters, has made a drive to rid the industry of racketeers and unfair trade practices. A number of violations have taken place since the code went into operation.
