Prague Government Publishes Anthology of Yiddish Writing in Czech

An anthology of Yiddish writing covering the period from the classics to the present time was published today in the Czech language by the Government Publishing House. Jacob Marcowitz was the compilor and translator.

Aviva Reik and Rachel Reiss, the two Jewish women paratroopers who were killed after being dropped in Slovakia to aid the uprising against the Nazi occupation during the war, were today awarded honorary decorations posthumously from the Czech Government.
