Pregnant women do crave pickles, according to a study cited in the Israeli daily Ma’ariv. Of the 89 percent who said they alter their eating habits during pregnancy, 20 percent cited pickles as their food of choice, according to the study, commissioned by an Israeli manufacturer of canned foods. Thirteen percent preferred chocolate and ice cream.
