President Bush proclaimed this week Jewish Heritage Week to mark 350 years of Jewish life in America. “I call upon all Americans to observe this week with appropriate programs and activities that highlight and honor the contributions Jewish Americans have made to our nation,” the presidential proclamation issued Saturday night said.
The Archive of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency includes articles published from 1923 to 2008. Archive stories reflect the journalistic standards and practices of the time they were published.
