President Bush spoke of “Palestine” as a future state. In a speech to the U.N. General Assembly on Saturday, Bush said, “We are working toward the day when two states — Israel and Palestine — live peacefully together within secure and recognized borders. Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat called the speech “important, positive and constructive.”
