President Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak discussed the ongoing violence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, the White House said. Sunday’s call, which lasted 35 minutes, focused on “what concrete steps can be taken to reduce the level of violence,” Clinton spokesman Jake Siewert said.
