President Clinton applauded Russian Jewish efforts to rebuild community life there in a Rosh Hashanah message to the Russian Jewish community. In the statement, Clinton also said Russia’s support for religious freedom and interethnic tolerance will directly affect “its standing in the international community and our ability to support Russia’s international integration.”
