Prof. Rene Cassin, vice-president of the French Council of State, and president of Alliance Israelite Universelle, today was awarded the highest French decoration, being made a Grand Officer of the Legion of Honor. Former chairman of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Prof. Cassin is a member of the European Court of Human Rights.
