The president of the Mid-Ocean Club of Bermuda, site of the forthcoming meeting among President Eisenhower, Prime Minister Churchill and a representative of the French Government, has denied charges that the club bars Jews from membership, Reuters reported here today. The dispatch from Bermuda quoted Sir Howard Trott, head of the club, as saying that the club had Jewish members and that it barred Jews and Non-Jews alike who were not “satisfactory.”

In Commons yesterday, Sir Winston clashed with two Laborites who charged that the club discriminated against Jewish guests and asked that the site of the meeting be changed. Sir Winston stated that he had been “assured” that the club did not discriminate against Jews, but would examine any evidence to the contrary offered by Ian Mikardo, Labor M. P.
